The paintings by Sébastien Plevoets appear at first sight to be collages, but they actually consist of layers of paint painted over and beside each other. This, combined with the unusual colour palette, gives them a Gobelin-like appearance. The fragments are primarily inspired by examples from the worlds of photography and art history.
