Mazzarella, Thomas
Charleroi (B), 1983
Lives and works in Liège
The absurd depictions by Thomas Mazzarella have a lot in common with comical illustrations. They appear to be rather a jumble but – thanks to both the details and the specific choice of scrap wood panels – they are actually well thought-out paintings. Mazzarella’s sense of humour is full of cynicism about the world in which we live.
