Glocal Affairs

Linda Maissan has a background in textile and fashion design. However, the collages which she first started making as sketches for clothing ended up functioning more and more as individual images in their own right. Her collages often contain “clothing designs” in which models are transformed into cyborgs and mythical figures, presenting us with images of a possible future. In the series titled “Transformers” - which she will be presenting during Glocal Affairs - object and body have merged into one.  

Besides collages, drawings and clothing, Linda Maissan also creates mini-magazines which serve as a platform for her ideas and as a focal point for her interests, including girls’ romance, trends, dreams of the future, music and fashion.
