Glocal Affairs

Erik Habets has created a visual installation for Glocal Affairs entitled "Ego est centrum.” To find out more, you will have to visit the installation to see and experience it, as the artist is convinced that words are not relevant to his creation. The images have a much greater power of expression and meaning in their own language - sometimes even more than the artist himself had initially thought. The entrenched idea that art must have some kind of meaning “shall and will be used against you.”

Erik Habets is willing to reveal that he has always been fascinated by the beautiful, special, crazy, banal, ridiculous and sometimes coarse, sad and ugly things that he sees around him. For him, the world is one huge playground in which his fantasy is continually being challenged and stimulated.
