Geert Mul is known for his interactive video installations. He researches visual language and has a fascination for aspects such as the relationship between the global and local identity. During Glocal Affairs, he produced an installation in which photographs by the Heerlen-based photographer Romy Finke are projected in constantly changing combinations. The photographs were taken by Finke in Heerlen over the course of many years, showing changes at local level. For this installation, Mul made use of software that indexes images by means of image analysis.
